The parish is always in need of parishioners willing to help out during our many liturgical services. On the right hand side of this page you will find more information on the numerous opportunities available to serve God. We have something for every comfort level and for every schedule.

Altar Servers - For young people grades 5 through 12 and for adults. Serving at the altar on weekends and/or holydays. Eric Failing, coordinator, efailing@yahoo.com

Cantors - Leading the congregation in song at weekend liturgies. Must be experienced singer. Audition required. Robert Barbarino, Director of Liturgical Music, ext. 224.

Cathedral Choir (Adult Choir) - Singing at one liturgy a weekend. Experienced singer. Audition required. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, September through June, and Sunday mornings. Robert Barbarino, Director of Liturgical Music, ext. 224.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion - Help to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at the Celebration of the Eucharist on weekends and/or weekdays.  Must be high school age or older.  Call for further details. 

Greeters - Helping with hospitality at weekend liturgies by welcoming participants, passing out the music bulletin, taking care of special needs, and straightening up the church after services. Steve Brouse, coordinator.

Hospital Visitation - Weekly visitation of parishioners in local hospitals, enhancing the ministry of the hospital chaplain. Please note: in order to receive a visit you, a friend or a relative must call the parish office with the appropriate information, as the hospitals no longer do this for you. Instrumentalists and Organists - Willing to use your talent at special liturgies throughout the liturgical year. Robert Barbarino, Director of Liturgical Music, ext. 224.

Lectors - Proclaiming the Word of God at the Celebration of the Eucharist on weekends and/or weekdays. Must be high school age and older. Michael Billo - 234-2431, coordinator.

Liturgical Sacristans - Helping to prepare for the weekend liturgies in between Masses and special events at the Cathedral Church. Don Weedon, coordinator.

Ushers - Helping with hospitality at weekend liturgies by welcoming participants, taking care of special needs, passing out the weekly bulletin, taking up the collection, and straightening up the church after services. Steve Brouse, coordinator.
